Garbage At Ciawi Intersection Reaches 35 Tons

BOGOR - The Environmental Service (DLH) of Bogor Regency, West Java, revealed that the pile of garbage in the waterways at Simpang Ciawi weighed 35 tons.

Head of the Bogor Regency DLH Waste Processing Division, Ismambar, revealed that the 35 tons of waste were the amount of waste that had been transported. Meanwhile, the transportation process is still ongoing.

"The amount is more than 35 tons, this afternoon it has started to be transported, earlier the fire department sucked in the water," Fadli said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 8.

"We deployed 11 fleets until 22.00 using excavators from the DPUPR," he explained.

Previously, Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin, Bogor Regent Iwan Setiawan instructed DLH to immediately carry out handling when inspecting piles of garbage in the waterways at Simpang Ciawi, Bogor Regency, West Java Province, Tuesday (7/11).

"I ask that the demolition of illegal buildings be carried out with a humanist approach. I hope that this location in the future can be made comfortable, for example, like a garden was made," said Iwan.

The regent also instructed the sub-district heads to monitor the handling of waste in their respective areas.

Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin stated the need to repair waterways and improve waste management after reviewing piles of garbage in the waterways at Simpang Ciawi.

"I ask the Bogor Regent and Danrem to immediately clean up this pile of garbage, so that people can stay comfortable," he said.
