Part Of Indonesia Will Be Rained At The End Of October 2023
JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that 10 percent of Indonesia's territory will start entering the rainy season at the end of October 2023.
Reporting from the official website of the BMKG, rainfall on the second basis of October 2023 is generally at low and medium criteria (0-150 mm/dasarian).
The areas that are experiencing the rainy season include most Aceh, North Sumatra, mostly Riau, mostly West Sumatra, Bengkulu, a small part of West Kalimantan, a small part of North Kalimantan, central Central Sulawesi, a small part of Maluku, parts of West Papua, and a small part of northern Papua.
BMKG forecaster Hasalika Nurjanah said in today's weather forecast report that a number of major cities in Indonesia have the opportunity to experience light to heavy rain today.
Starting from Sumatra, light rain occurred in Banda Aceh, Medan, and Pekanbaru. Rain in Tanjungpinang has moderate intensity and Padang has the potential for heavy rain.
"The Jambi and Bengkulu areas have the opportunity to experience light rain. Beware of rain accompanied by lightning and lightning in Palembang," said Hasalika, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 24.
The weather on the island of Java is generally still cloudy to thick cloudy, except for Serang, which is expected to experience light rain.
