JAKARTA - The National Police's Trafficking Crime Task Force (TPPO) continues to take action. As a result, 1,409 people were named suspects during the period from June 5 to October 23."The number of suspects in the TIP case is 1,049 people,” said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, in his statement, Monday, October 23.The prosecution of thousands of suspects was based on the Police Report (LP) which was made or received at the Bareskrim Polri level and the Polda ranks as many as 874 reports.Then, of all the suspects named, there are 4 modes that dominate, namely the Migrant Worker mode or household assistance (PRT) of 546.There is also a mode of being used as a crew member (ABK) as many as 7, as commercial sex workers (PSK) as many as 289, and the exploitation of children as many as 70.Meanwhile, from the series of actions that have been carried out, it was recorded that 2,797 people could be saved from the actions of the TIP suspects.
"The disclosure and prosecution of TIP can be revealed optimally after the formation of the TIP task force on June 5, 2023 on the orders of the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to take firm action and prevent criminal acts of trafficking in persons," said Ramadhan.
