Hyundai World Skill Contest 2023: Haydar Ali Represents Indonesia In This Prestigious Event
Hyundai World Skill Contest 2023, an annual event that challenges Hyundai's best mechanics from around the world. This prestigious event was attended by various talented mechanics, including representatives from Indonesia, Haydar Ali, who came from the Hyundai dimer Arista Margonda, Depok.
The 14th prestigious event took place in Seoul, South Korea, on 23-27 October 2023.
"Hydar's participation in this event is a manifestation of our seriousness in fostering human capital through various trainings that hone their skills in handling various vehicle engines," said Christofurus Ronny Ng, as Hyundai Director Arista Group, in a statement received by VOI, Monday, October 23.
Haydar Ali managed to represent Hyundai Motor Indonesia after successfully entering the top three selection stages at the Hyundai World Skill Contest 2023, where he will show his mechanical skills. This competition assesses participants based on special criteria, including EV diagnosis capabilities from the security system, charging system, and HV Powertrain, as well as body electricity, chassis, and HV battery system.
As one of 1,500 local mechanics working at the Arista Group, Haydar Ali has started his career as a mechanical player since July 2021. He has made brilliant achievements in various competitions, including winning third place in the Service Advisor and Technician category at the Hyundai National Service Skill Contest 2022.
Haydar will also participate in the Hyundai National Service Skill Contest 2023 in the EV category. Haydar preparation is not short, including a series of intensive trainings that start from June to October 6, 2023. As part of the preparations, Haydar attended three training camp sessions that focused on EV vehicles, including voltages, charging systems, power conversion, and GDS, as well as EV specializations.

In preparation for the end before leaving for South Korea, Haydar went through three training camp sessions related to engine frames and brakes, including ADAS, chassis, heat pump systems, as well as body and electric systems. In the final stages of preparation, Haydar conducted an OJT with the technical team, undergoing a brush-up session, written tests, and practical training.
Christofurus Ronny hopes that with Haydar's brilliant abilities and achievements in previous competitions, Haydar can give his best to bring home the title and make Arista Group, Hyundai, and Indonesia proud.
