Clashes In Manggarai Are Broken Again, Which Anti-Worry Task Force Was Formed By The Former Metro Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran?

JAKARTA - The brawl in Manggarai, South Jakarta is not the only time this has happened. Because of the frequent brawls, the local police created a special post to prevent clashes in Manggarai. But apparently, a brawl occurred again.

Even though the South Jakarta (Jaksel) Police Chief Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi has claimed that since October 2022 there have been no brawls in the Manggarai area.

Ary said this was due to the formation of an anti-brawl task force (task force) for each RW in the area that had long been labeled as the hotbed of the brawl. The anti-brawl task force in Manggarai was formed by the former Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran on October 11, then.

"Since the formation of the anti-brawl task force team, in early October 2022 we were on duty and then inaugurated by the Kapolda, it has never happened again," said Ary at that time, as reported by VOI, Sunday, February 5.

According to Ary, the work of the anti-brawl task force in Manggarai is running effectively. He also appealed to his staff to increase the prevention of brawls between residents in other locations.

"The keywords are moving together, to create a system. The anti-brawl task force is very effective. It is proven that the location never happened again. We do this," he said.

On the one hand, Ary emphasized that the main prevention of juvenile delinquency such as brawls is family resilience. Therefore, Ary suggested that parents supervise children's activities, especially at night.

"When 9 pm our children are still not home, as parents of course we have to check. Students are the task of learning. If they haven't returned home at 9 o'clock, then parents don't look for them, let's raise awareness together. If family resilience is strong, hopefully, our children can be protected from a bad environment," he explained.

Thursday night, October 19, another brawl in Manggarai occurred. The clash involved local residents carrying sharp weapons and broken glass. Indeed, there were no victims in this action. However, the brawl in Manggarai is a special concern because it often occurs.

Yesterday's brawl in Manggarai allegedly because a group of teenagers in the surrounding area were not allowed to enter the bazaar area.

Tebet Police Chief, Kompol Jamalinus Nababan explained, the incident began when a bazaar was held in the Pasar Rumput area of RW 12, Manggarai, South Jakarta. Then the RW 04 youth group with RW 05 were not allowed to enter the bazaar area.

"We suspect that in RW 012 there will be a youth bazaar. Young people make bazaars, they want to enter but there is no resistance. Maybe they can't enter," he said.

He explained that the brawl took place 20-25 minutes. The brawl was stopped after dozens of personnel went to the crime scene (TKP).
