SYL Forced Picked Up By KPK, NasDem: We Want Fair Justice Not Authority

General Treasurer of NasDem Ahmad Sahroni spoke about legal justice related to the forced pick-up of former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo. NasDem hopes that justice will be served without any arbitrariness in the law.

"We want to hope that justice as fairly as possible in this Republic is not arbitrary. The rule of legal mechanism they understand better. Why do people think that an analysis wants to run away, wants to eliminate evidence. That's no longer possible. The availability is present, cooperative tomorrow the person concerned will attend tomorrow. But, right, tonight in fact, no," said Sahroni, Thursday, October 12.

NasDem questioned the KPK mechanism in handling the case of former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo. NasDem questioned why the KPK forcibly picked up SYL who was named a corruption suspect.

"Why should it be in a hurry not going through the process for strong reasons. Previously, Ali Fikri (head of the KPK news department, ed) said that according to analysis, he could not talk about analysis. But talking about how the applicable legal facts must be followed up. We don't want to be prejudiced, but what if the procedural law and power are carried out? " said Sahroni.

Sahroni, who is also the deputy chairman of Commission III of the DPR, said that there is a mechanism in the legal process, namely legal proceedings.

The first is the first summons. The legal procedure for the ceremony. If the first one is not present, there must be a postponement that should be scheduled. Right, it is scheduled for the 13th. Now, if the 13th and Pak SYL are willing to attend tomorrow, it must be passed first. If the person concerned is not present, then the forced pick-up is mandatory," continued Sahroni.
