Roger Waters Abandoned Disappointed Spectators With Memoar Readings In Concerts
JAKARTA - Roger Waters expelled spectators who were tired of watching his concert last weekend, October 8. Soon, other fans left the venue.
The concert took place in London Palladium and initially, Waters reportedly told fans that the show would be divided into parts. Many expect Waters to play a new version of The Dark Side of the Moon since the opening.
Fans were surprised when the early stages of the concert featured Waters reading his unpublished memoir, Dark Side Of The Moon: Memoirs Of A Lanky Prick.
A report in the Men's Journal noted that Waters was 15 minutes late from its appearance schedule and instead of performing hits, [he] began reading parts of his unpublished memoir on his laptop.
As the crowd became increasingly dissatisfied with the start of the show, Rogers reportedly told spectators to "go". After that, some frustrated fans began to leave.
Fans at Reddit are divided on Waters' performance. One person said (via Loudwire): "So people get what they pay for, 'Redux' performances, and some bonus insight into the minds of the person who performed the event as well as several other songs, one of which is a new song performed as a whole for the first time. It sounds like the right time for me, but not for each person," wrote one fan.

While the others wrote: I don't think it's announced before that 50 percent of the show is Roger reading from a laptop. I think it makes sense to assume that this will be a full concert... But I think the audience has the right to be unhappy with the first half of the show. I know I'm going to be like that.
On X, Twitter previously, another fan added: "Going to watch the Dark Side of the Moon Pink Floyd remake show last night at London Palladium with Roger Waters and I have no words to describe it and not in a positive way. He's really an egocentric critic and thinks I deserve to spend a lot of money watching it. The lessons learned."
