Cartenz Peace Task Force Arrests Three KNPB Killers Of Female Activists Michele Kurisi
The Damai Cartenz law enforcement task force arrested three members of the West Papua National Committee (KNPB) suspected of killing female activist Michele Kurisi Doga. KNPB is one of the groups trying to separate Papua from the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. Head of the Damai Cartenz Task Force Kombes Faizal Rahmadani said the three members of the KNPB were arrested in three different locations in Papua's Land. The perpetrators were initially arrested by PM, last Thursday in the Jayawijaya Regency area and from the results of the development then AW in Jayapura, then RK alias RM in Tolikara Regency. The perpetrators are estimated to be seven people so that four others have been set and included in the wanted list of people (DPO) namely KW, JW, DW and K. "The alleged perpetrators were members of the militant KNPB from West Baliem," said Kombes Faizal quoted by ANTARA, Monday 9 October. He explained that Michele Kurisi Doga was killed by a group of people on August 28 in Koloak Atas District, Lanny Jaya Regency by being stabbed with a knife and being hit with his head using wood. The murder was recorded by the perpetrator and distributed through their social media channel (Facebook) so that the video of Michele Kurisi murder of Doga circulated widely in social media and viral. In the viral video, it was shown that Michele Kurisi victim was initially interrogated by the perpetrators and it was not long seen that the victim was walking in the bushes with blood pouring on the victim's chest.

"The murder is classified as sadistic and cruel, especially when it is videoed and viral," said Kombes Pol Faizal Ramadhani. The suspects will be subject to Article 338 of the Criminal Code concerning the murder of junto article 340 of the Criminal Code concerning premeditated murder junto Article 354 of the Criminal Code concerning persecution resulted in the death of another person, with a maximum threat of death penalty or life imprisonment.
