Bo Bendsneyder Targets To Win Podium In The Remaining Moto2 Season
JAKARTA - Pertamina team racer Mandalika SAG Racing Team Bo Bendsneyder targets to cheer up the podium for the rest of the Moto2 season. This was conveyed by a 24-year-old racer in a press conference ahead of the Mandalika series race at Senayan Park, Jakarta, Sunday, October 8."As a racer, I certainly have a different target or more than a team. I want to win and get a podium, I want to appear more consistent. I had an injury problem, and sadly it's not because of myself but because of other factors so I have to be sidelined (because of injury). In the rest of the season, I want to consistently get points. I need to get on the podium again," said Bo Bendsneyder as quoted by Antara.Given that the Moto2 schedule this season is so busy, the Dutch racer admits that he enjoys the tight schedule because he can gain points in a number of series."I'm just happy with the tight schedule, because in terms of points I can gain it. I can also be maximized and I have a target to be able to climb more podiums (in the rest of the season)," said the racer who was nicknamed Bang Bo by the Indonesian supporters. If he gets a podium at the Mandalika Circuit, Bo Bendsneyder admits that he will carry the Indonesian flag as he did when he got on the podium at the Austin Circuit, America, last April."If I take the podium at the Mandalika Circuit, I will celebrate it like when I was in a race in the US. Mandalika is like my second house, because my grandfather was born in Surabaya," said Bo Bendsneyder.Bang Bo has Indonesian blood from his grandfather who was born in Surabaya. In addition to having Indonesian descent, Bo Bendsneyder feels that Indonesia is his second home, apart from being caused by his grandfather who was born in Indonesia but is also caused by the warmth and friendliness shown by the Indonesian people to him.Currently Bo Bendsneyder is struggling in the Moto2 event and is ranked 18th with 22 points.
