PUPR Disburses BSPS Program, 3,070 Uninhabitable Houses In Central Sulawesi Get Assistance Of IDR 20 Million Per Unit
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has distributed the Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance Program (BSPS) for 3,070 uninhabitable houses in Central Sulawesi Province (Sulteng).
"This BSPS program is the government's effort to help people to have livable housing. We distribute stimulant funds so that people are excited to improve the quality of houses that were previously uninhabitable to become more livable," said Secretary of the Directorate General of Housing of the Ministry of PUPR M Hidayat in his statement, Sunday, October 8, quoted by Antara.
Hidayat said the government provided stimulant funds of Rp. 20 million per house to improve the quality of houses so that they become livable and sturdy in a building structure and meet the requirements for livable houses.
The government continues to strive to continue the BSPS Program considering that there are still many residents who need assistance that is better known as house renovation.
For this reason, the Ministry of PUPR invites various parties, including ministries/agencies, local governments, and stakeholders in the housing sector to collaborate in handling uninhabitable houses in the regions.
"We hope that the BSPS Program can continue to receive support and be continued in order to reduce uninhabitable houses (RTLH) in Indonesia," said Hidayat.
