Case Of Alleged KPK Leaders Extorting Ministry Of Agriculture Rises Investigation
JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya has upgraded the status of the alleged extortion case committed by officials of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to the investigation stage. The decision is based on the results of the case title.
"From the results of the implementation of the case title, it is then recommended to increase the status of the investigation to the investigation stage of alleged corruption in the form of extortion," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak, to reporters, Saturday, October 7.
Meanwhile, the case title process was carried out on Friday, October 6. The investigative team believes that there was an unlawful act in public complaints (dumas) regarding allegations of extortion in handling corruption.
At the investigation stage, six people have been questioned. One of them is Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL.
"It needs to be conveyed here that 6 people have been questioned or clarified by the investigation team of the Corruption Sub-Directorate of the Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya, including one of them is the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia," said Ade.
Especially for Syahrul Yasin Limpo, it is said that he has been questioned three times. The latest examination was carried out this afternoon.
However, Ade was reluctant to elaborate on the first and second examination times of the NasDem politician. The reason, it is the realm of investigation.
"He has been questioned or clarified 3 times and today is the third time he has been asked for information or clarification on the alleged crime that occurred and it was reported," he said.
Meanwhile, the other five witnesses were drivers and aides from Syahrul Yasin Limpo, as well as parties who made reports or dumas.
However, the identity of the reporter is said to be undisclosed. Because it will be kept secret for investigation and investigation purposes.
"Five other people include his driver and ADC (Syahrul Yasin Limpo). As for the pendumas or those who sent public complaints received on August 12, 2023, we maintain the confidentiality of the identity of the reporter," said Ade.
