Open Market Is Inevitable, Erick Thohir Asks SOEs To Dare To Compete
JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir said the open market was inevitable.
Therefore, said Erick, state-owned companies must dare to compete in the global arena.
"In the future with an open market, we cannot close the Indonesian market. And there is already a lot of evidence that SOEs can compete, such as Himbara, Telkom and I want all SOEs to compete," he said, quoted from the official Instagram @erickthohir, Friday, October 6.
Erick said, the challenges ahead are getting tougher. Therefore, he asked young people who are pursuing a career in BUMN to advance the business of state-owned companies to the global arena.
Even so, Erick admits that building something is not a direct foam, everything needs a process. Included in building a state-owned business.
"The challenges ahead are getting tougher. I hope young people will be able to make SOE companies more global," he said.
