Free Trial Has Been Extended, Here's How to Register to Ride the Jakarta Bandung High-speed Train

JAKARTA - The government will continue testing the Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train for the public until mid-October 2023. During this trial period, the public can try out this first form of transportation in Indonesia for free.

Consideration of the decision to continue the free trial is because there are still many people who want to take part in the free trial of the Jakarta Bandung Fast Train.

KCIC Corporate Communication Manager Emir Monti said people who want to try out the fast train can visit the official KCIC website at kcic.co.id to register.

"You can check the tickets later on the kcc.co.id website so that people can immediately order which route and schedule they want and which are still available," said Emir at Halim Station, Jakarta, Monday, October 2.

Emir said, in this trial program, KCIC will prepare eight trips. Consisting of four trips from Halim-Tegalluar Station and four trips from Tegalluar-Halim Station.

"After being inaugurated by Indonesian President Joko Widodo, KCIC will operate the Whoosh Fast Train with a free program for 8 trips, namely 4 trips from Halim and 4 trips from Tegalluar," he said.

Previously, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said the government had decided to continue free trials of the Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train (KCJB) for the public until mid-October 2023.

"We agreed to have a free trial for KCJB until mid-October," he said at the inauguration of the Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train at Halim Station, Monday, October 2.

Luhut explained that the decision to take the free trial was considered because there were still many people who wanted to take part in the free trial.

Furthermore, Luhut said that the trial period was extended so that people could immediately experience the first fast train in Indonesia.

"The public is invited to directly experience the benefits of the Jakarta Bandung Fast Train for themselves. "Of course everything runs safely and comfortably thanks to the reliability of the system which has been tested," he said.
