BWF World Junior Mixed Team Championships 2023: Indonesia meets Georgia and Portugal
JAKARTA – The Indonesian junior badminton team is in Group E with Georgia and Portugal at the 2023 BWF World Junior Mixed Team Championships.
Indonesia will start fighting in this event on Monday, September 25 local time or Tuesday, September 26 Indonesian time. Various preparations continue to be made.
Indonesian Team Manager Armand Darmadji confirmed that the squad was ready to fight after undergoing joint training on the main field of The Podium Arena, Spokane, Washington, United States, Sunday, September 24 local time.
"If you look at the preparations, they are all one hundred percent ready. Seeing that they have made adjustments over the past four days to weather conditions, the field, everything is safe and running well without any problems," he said.
"Hopefully they can all give their best performance tomorrow during the match, because their preparations are complete and we can see that the team is united," he added.
The most prestigious event for junior level mixed teams will be to compete for the Suhandinata Cup. Indonesia will face Georgia directly at 12.00 noon and Portugal at 19.00 p.m. evening local time.
Armand said that to face the two opening matches, Indonesia would also use its best strength. Moreover, this year's target is to bring home the Suhandinata Cup.
"Of course, as the team manager, I have communicated with the coach and team officials, that tomorrow we will have a strategy to field the best players according to their capacity. Of course we hope that they can provide the best game and of course entertain the Indonesian people," said Armand.
Men's singles player Alwi Farhan, who is ready to fight, really hopes for prayers from all Indonesian people and hopes that the best results can be realized in this event.
