Checking the Realization of Regional Roads Supporting IKN, Jokowi: Budget IDR 14.6 Trillion for Repairing 2,800 Km
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) reviewed the progress of the realization of regional road improvements regulated through the Presidential Instruction (Inpres) for Regional Roads (IJD) which supports the capital city of the archipelago.
Jokowi explained that the road, which is located in Agro Mulyo Village, Sepaku District, North Penajam Paser Regency, is part of the IJD implementation which has a total national budget of IDR 14.6 trillion for 2,800 kilometers of road.
"This is looking at checking the realization of the total budget for the entire Indonesian state of IDR 14.6 trillion, which is estimated to be able to repair and build 2,800 kilometers of roads," he said, citing Antara.
The President said that the road he was reviewing was a production road and was used as a transportation road, especially for palm oil distribution traffic.
In the future, this road will support the capital city of the archipelago as a production road and access to tourist attractions, namely the Batu Tapak Raja Cave.
The President also targets repairs to damaged roads in Agro Mulyo Village to be completed by the end of the year, considering the need for these roads to improve the regional economy.
"At the end of the year, it will be finished. District roads like this are needed because they have economic effects, namely production roads for palm oil, rubber, and others," said the President.

The Head of State also encouraged the implementation of IJD to prioritize repairing and building production roads in districts/cities.
The handling of the IJD, which is the access road to the Batu Tapak Raja Cave tourist attraction, costs IDR 34.09 billion with a treatment road length of 4.8 kilometers in segment one.
Meanwhile, in segment two, the road maintenance costs amounted to IDR 33.27 billion with a treatment road length of 3.5 kilometers.
