Targeting Wider Interests, Aprilia Launches 457 Hospital In India
JAKARTA - After being introduced during the Italian MotoGP racing event at Misano, last September 7, Aprilia RS 457 is now officially entering the Indian market.
Interestingly, this sports motorbike is indeed produced at the Aprilia factory in India, for the company's efforts to make it more affordable and targeting wider enthusiasts.
Launching Rideapart, September 19, the design of RS 457 was inspired by Aprilia RS 660 and RSV4. Having a separate LED headlights decorated with transparent windshields, provides a slim and modern look.
To improve its aerodynamic capabilities, RS 457 has small fin-like ventilation in side-fairing, which is strategically placed under the handlebar. This design option not only adds to the aesthetics of the motorcycle but also contributes to its performance.
The most prominent feature of Aprilia RS 457 which is the new engine. This motorbike is powered by a 457cc liquid-cooled twin parallel engine that can be injected with a 270-degree craneshaft that improves the engine's character, ensuring a balanced and responsive performance.
With about 47 dk of power, motorists can expect an extraordinary sensation on highways and trajectories. The power is transferred to the rear wheels through a manual transmission of six accelerations, and for those looking for faster gear movement, there is a quickshifter option.
Aprilia has equipped RS 457 with impressive technology and performance features, making it an attractive choice for motorcycle enthusiasts. RS 457 is equipped with ride-by-wire technology that offers various driving modes that accommodate various driving conditions. Security is also not ignored, with a three-level traffic control system and additional ABS to ensure braking security. All motorcycle settings can be easily configured via users-friendly five-inch TFT screens.
The adjustment of the 457 hospital suspension consists of a reverse front fork and a rear monoshock, a combination known for its ability to provide proper handling and comfort in driving.

Aprilia has not announced the price for this latest model, although almost a month after its introduction. However, in the medium class sports bike market, RS 457 will compete with motorcycles such as Kawasaki Ninja 400 and KTM RC 390, CBR500R, and Yamaha R3.
