"PT AAJ in its activities has committed violations that do not meet the Quality Baku for optimity parameters on testing the quality of immovable source emission (commerce) fueled by coal," Asep said in his statement, Tuesday, September 19.

In July, PT AAJ reported that it was testing the bailer emissions independently by the private sector and the results met Baku Mutu for all parameters. However, when it was re-examined by the DKI Provincial Government, the results were different.

"We have re-examined the results of the testing carried out by the company legally sampling. If it is still not in accordance with the quality standard, we will increase the sanctions," he said.

In recent times, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has temporarily suspended the operations of a number of industries in Jakarta in recent times due to violating environmental permits and polluting air pollution.

These three companies were given administrative sanctions in the form of government coercion after it was proven that they had not completed environmental management that had the potential to pollute the environment, so the operations were temporarily suspended.

Not only targeting large industrial factories, the sanctions imposed on perpetrators of air pollution are also imposed on small businesses owned by residents.

The East Jakarta Environment Agency closed the charcoal burning business at Lubang Buaya. The DKI Provincial Government ordered that the business building be demolished because it did not have a permit.

Then on Wednesday, August 30, a concrete batching plant (CBP) company in West Jakarta, namely PT Merak Jaya Beton, was stopped operating.

During an inspection of PT Merak Jaya Beton, the DKI Provincial Government found that PT Merak Jaya Beton had not followed up on fulfilling its commitment to drafting environmental documents. This company is also subject to administrative sanctions for coercion by the government with a temporary closure.

The mandate sealing is carried out so that this steel factory does not operate its business activities before repairs. This is because the scheme in the company is not up to standard.

After receiving the sanctions, PT Jakarta Central Asia Steel, is required to stop operating the reheating scheme within a predetermined period of time. If not, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will not hesitate to freeze until it revokes the company's environmental permit.
