The DFSK Gelora E Trial As An Environmentally Friendly Airport Transportation Choice
JAKARTA - The electric vehicle assembled by DFSK, namely Gelora E, has again proven its functionality in various activities in meeting the needs of Indonesian mobility.
PT Sokoindo Automobile, as an APM from DFSK in Indonesia, has deployed the electric-powered MPV in carrying out its new task, namely as a transportation operator at Halim Airport by conducting a trial of electric vehicle transportation services.
The trial was carried out as an effort to present electric vehicles as airport transportation facilities, especially delivering passengers from Halim Airport to various destinations in the Jabodetabek area.
This trial is important considering that Halim Airport is currently receiving the most arrivals with an average of 6,000 to 7,000 people per day.
Achmad Rofiqi, as the Head of Marketing for PT Sokoindo Automobile, said that his party is very open in various opportunities to utilize DFSK's electric vehicles in meeting mobility needs for the community.
"This certainly shows that DFSK Gelora E has a high aspect of functionality and is in accordance with the needs of the Indonesian people," said Rofiqi in his statement, Thursday, September 14.
In the test, PT Sokoindo collaborated with EVista, the first and only electric transportation service company in Indonesia to date. EVista has taken part in the initiative to create clean air in the future.
This is in line with the planning implemented by the Government of Indonesia in achieving Net Zero Emission for the next 2060. Moreover, currently, several areas, especially DKI Jakarta, are being faced with problems with air pollution.

Previously in July, the Gelora E DFSK was also tested by the Bali Provincial Transportation Service to be used as a means of transportation in tourism purposes. The DFSK Gelora E trial was carried out in the Besakih Temple area, one of the local tourist icons.
DFSK Gelora E is equipped with a 42 kWh lithium-ion battery that allows this car to go up to 300 km. Although the standard charging time from 20 percent to 80 percent takes 80 minutes with fast charging, the quality of the DFSK battery has been tested.
The batteries on this minibus are equipped with IP67's high-voltage, dust-resistant, and standard water protection, as well as tight battery protection to ensure battery safety in various conditions.
