Sri Mulyani Discusses The Latest Economic Situation To AI At The Forbes Singapore Forum
JAKARTA Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani attended the Forbes Global CEO Conference 2023 in Singapore after her visit to India's G20 Summit. On that occasion, the Minister of Finance discussed a number of topics, including related to the current economic conditions to artificial intelligence (AI).
"Before returning to the country, this morning I stopped in Singapore. This time, to fulfill the invitation to attend the agenda of attending the Forbes Global CEO Conference 2023," he said as reported by the official website, quoted on Tuesday, September 12.
In a discussion session motivated by Rich Karlgaard (Futurist & Editor-at-Large Forbes Media), the Minister of Finance spoke about the situation of uncertainty in the geopolitical, interest rates, and trade agreements between countries. According to him, world leaders must actively overcome these various problems.
"To deal with it, world leaders must be active in discussion forums, including in overcoming climate change. Starting from high-level forums such as COP to various other discussions regarding how we can build each other's capacity and share knowledge and resources to withstand the impact of climate change," he said.

The state treasurer also explained about the Indonesian economy which has endurance in the midst of a crisis storm. In fact, the Indonesian economy has consistently grown above 5 percent in the last 7 quarters.
"I also explain, Indonesia is one of the lucky countries because our economy is quite resilient and maintained in the midst of a crisis. Our economic growth is consistently above 5 percent (even growing 5.17 percent in the last quarter)," he said.
The Minister of Finance added that two topics that have received attention in Indonesia and the world are about demographic bonuses and artificial intelligence. It is stated that these two things must be handled carefully so that they can benefit the Indonesian nation.
"I also conveyed to Karl about two topics that are quite highlighted by Indonesia and the world, demographic bonuses and AI. Two things must be handled carefully, so that they can bring more benefits to the nation," he concluded.
