Not Provided With Food, Children In The South Sulawesi Concelerator Persecution Of Mother Kandung To Death
A man with a mental disorder (ODGJ) status, Iwan (28), in South Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) abused his biological mother, Dede Rokayah (55), to death.
The unfortunate incident occurred in Meronga Raya Village, Lalembuu District, Konsel Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province, on Sunday, August 10 at around 12.30 WITA.
Atari Jaya Police Chief, Ipda Reflian Budhini explained, the incident began when the perpetrator returned home after working as a construction worker. Arriving at the house, the perpetrator wanted to eat, but was not provided.
"The perpetrator wanted to eat, but there was no food, so he hit his mother, kicked, until he died in his room," said Reflian Budhini, in his statement, Monday, September 11.
The police, who knew about this, immediately went to the crime scene (TKP) and put up a police line. The police also arrested the perpetrator and then taken him to the Atari Jaya Police.
Reflian said that the perpetrator was suspected of having a mental disorder for a long time because he was often in and out of the Mental Hospital (RSJ) in Kendari.

"The perpetrators have often abused his mother. Not being treated at the RSJ because they are classified as underprivileged residents, so they are not intensely cared for," he said.
The police will take the perpetrator to the Kendari Hospital to confirm the mental disorders experienced on Monday morning. Meanwhile, the victim was buried on Sunday afternoon.
