Minister Of Trade: Indonesia Brings Stability And Peace Missions At India's G20 Summit
JAKARTA - Minister of Trade (Mendag) Zulkifli Hasan and President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo brought a stability and peace mission that was ready to be delivered at the G20 Summit (KTT) which took place in India on 9-10 September 2023.
"I accompanied the President to India to attend the G20 Summit which took place on Saturday and Sunday. As the President said, Indonesia carries a commitment to stability and peace to be voiced at the G20 Summit in India," Zulkifli said, quoting Antara.
India hosted the summit, or the G20 Summit. The two-day summit features a number of influential country leaders.
The Trade Minister said he had previously gone to India to attend the G20 meeting at the level of the minister of trade and investment. The event was titled Trade and Investment Ministerial Meeting (TIMM) of the G20 and was held in Jaipur, India on August 24-25, 2023.
During the meeting, most of the deals in the trade sector have been completed. It is hoped that it will soon provide useful results for Indonesia.
"Most of the deals in the trade sector have been finalized to be able to contribute to providing useful results. Today, I was asked to accompany the President to once again go to India at the G20 Summit," said the Trade Minister.

The G20 is the main forum for international economic cooperation consisting of countries with a large economy in the world.
G20 members are Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, China, European Union, Germany, France, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Japan, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, Britain and the United States.
Under India's leadership, the G20 focused on discussing international debt architectural reforms, regulations regarding cryptocurrencies, as well as the impact of geopolitical uncertainty on food and energy security.
