Prevent Motorcyclists From Going Oppositely On The Slipi Flyover, YouTuber Laurend Was Thrown Stones By Residents
JAKARTA The action of content creators who reprimanded a number of motorcyclists in the opposite direction at the Slipi Flyover, Jalan Kemanggisan, Palmerah, West Jakarta, met resistance from motorcyclists. Information circulated that the figure of the man who dared to ban the opposing motorcyclist was Laurend Lee, the same person at the time of the incident in Tebet, South Jakarta.
In the video circulating, Lauren and a number of crew prevented motorists from going in the direction of Slipi Jaya, to be precise next to the flyover.
However, Lauren's action with the crew again faced resistance from a number of motorists. Lauren was even newly thrown by local residents.
Palmerah Police Chief Kompol Slamet said that illegal activities for motorists who went against the flow did not have a permit from the Palmerah Police.
"Nothing like that. There is no permit or permit ( Palmerah Police)," said Kompol Slamet when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, September 6, evening.
However, he continued, as long as the activity was a positive action, the Police still supported the content creators.
"I think as long as it is positive and educates the public, it doesn't matter. It doesn't have to be permissioned or not to create the content," he said.
Meanwhile, according to residents' information, the incident against motorcyclists against the content creators was carried out because a number of online motorcycle taxi drivers (ojol) did not accept that they were prohibited from crossing. The ojol also argued with content creators.
"They are in the opposite direction, even though they are used to going there in the opposite direction. And there is also no Polantas that guard and prohibits it," said one resident who declined to mention his name.
Previously, Laurend intercepted motorcyclists against the flow in South Jakarta. The commotion occurred between an online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol) and a YouTuber in front of the Bakar Wong Solo Chicken food stall, Bukit Duri, Tebet, South Jakarta in mid-August.
