Betrayed By Anies And NasDem, AHY Says He Will Join Other Coalitions
Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) stated that his party would join other coalitions after being betrayed by Anies Baswedan and the NasDem Party in the Change Coalition for Unity (KPP), who chose PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin as vice presidential candidate.However, AHY still has not mentioned which coalition the Democratic Party will dock.Initially, AHY admitted to promising Democratic cadres and the Indonesian people to remain steadfast in the path of change and improvement. He also invited all Democratic cadres to remain solid and follow the steps that will be taken by party leaders, one of which is related to the direction of the coalition."In an effort to fight for these changes and improvements, the Democrats will strive to join other coalitions that have a common perspective, national vision and political ethics," AHY said at the DPP Democratic Party, Monday, September 4.AHY also stated that he had moved on from a surprising political dynamic after Anies chose Cak Imin as his vice presidential candidate. It is known that the Democratic Party has also revoked its support for Anies and left the Change Coalition for the Association consisting of NasDem and PKS."Today we, the family of the Democratic Party, are heartened, with humility we are moving on and ready to welcome good opportunities in front of us," said AHY.The son of the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia then congratulated the presidential and vice presidential candidates from NasDem and PKB, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin."For that, I congratulate Mr. Anies Rasyid Baswedan and Mr. Muhaimin Iskandar who have just declared a pair of presidential and vice presidential candidates in the future.
