The Governor Of South Sumatra Inaugurates 3 Bridges In Ogan Komering Ulu
OGAN KOMERING ULU - Governor of South Sumatra (Sumsel) Herman Deru inaugurated three bridge units in Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency whose construction has been carried out since 2021.
The inauguration was centered at the Bong Bridge, Lontar Village, Muarajaya District, marked by the signing of the inscription and the breaking of the jug by the Governor of South Sumatra Herman Deru with the Acting Regent of OKU Teddy Meilwansyah, Monday, August 28.
OKU Regent Teddy Meilwansyah said the three bridges were Bong Bridge, Lontar Village, Muarajaya District; Terentang Water Bridge; and Kurup Water Bridge, Lubuk Batang District.
According to him, many developments have been completed thanks to the assistance of the governor, including bridges, roads, and even the magnificent building of the Ibnu Sutowo Baturaja Hospital, which is an aid from the South Sumatra Provincial Government.
The connecting bridge between OKU Regency and Muara Enim and Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) is very helpful for the community in transporting agricultural products quickly and easily.
"With the construction of this concrete bridge, it can improve the economy of the OKU community and other neighboring districts," he said as quoted by ANTARA.

Meanwhile, the Governor of South Sumatra Herman Deru hopes that infrastructure development can have a positive, useful impact and improve the economy of the people of OKU Regency.
The governor also handed over financial aid allocation assistance specifically from South Sumatra Province in the road sector for OKU Regency worth IDR 46.5 billion.
"This fund assistance is intended to improve damaged roads in OKU Regency to make it better," he said.
