Banks Mbappe Transfer, Ancelotti Affirms Madrid Don't Need A New Striker
JAKARTA - Real Madrid continues to be linked with the move of PSG star Kylian Mbappe even though the summer transfer market remains four days before closing.
However, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has again dismissed the transfer plan to bring Mbappe. He insists that the new striker on the transfuser exchange this summer is not on his agenda.
"This squad is complete. We were able to win without Courtois, Militao, Karim Benzema and Vini. This shows that the squad is well-ordered," Ancelotti said after Madrid beat Celta Vigo 1-0, Saturday night.
Mbappe's name has long been linked with a move to Madrid. The French player is getting stronger and rumored to be going to Bernabeau after rejecting a new contract offer submitted by his club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
His refusal to sign a new contract to leave for Real Madrid made him barred from joining training in the senior team. Mbappe could only watch from the stands as PSG played goalless against Lorient on Saturday, August 12.
But after that tension, Mbappe and PSG both softened. The former AS Monaco player was again allowed to join his colleagues.
In fact, it is reported that Mbappe is ready to extend his contract with the club after next summer.
