Tangerang DLH Calls Waste Processing Electricity In Construction Stage
JAKARTA - The Environmental Service (DLH) of Tangerang City, Banten, said that the construction of waste processing facilities into electrical energy (PSEL) at the Rawa Cat TPA is currently under construction.
Head of the Tangerang City Environment Agency (DLH) Tihar Sopian said PT Oligo as the winner of the auction had entered into a cooperation agreement to make PSEL facilities.
"Currently, it is during the construction period where a Detail Design Engineering (DED) is carried out. Then, maturation is also on the technology that will be used and the required administrations", said Tihar quoting Antara.
In the exposure of the City Government some time ago, the investment value of the PSEL project in Tangerang City was IDR 2.585 trillion.
The construction of waste processing facilities or facilities into electrical energy is targeted to start in 2023 and by 2025 these facilities can already operate.
Tihar said the land for the Rawa Cat TPA covering an area of 34.8 hectares has been filled. Every day, the amount of waste thrown into the Rawa Cat TPA is 1,500 tons.
The Tangerang City DLH has also carried out and prepared various solutions to overcome it. The activities carried out include making the most frequent or the waste system compiled per zone that has been determined.

"We also invite the public to process waste from the source, before being disposed of to the Rawacat TPA, there are residuals left. So we invite the active role," he said.
Some of the programs promoted by the Tangerang City DLH are waste alms, proclim villages, waste banks, adiwiyata and others in overcoming waste problems in Tangerang City
"This waste problem cannot be solved only with the efforts of the Tangerang City Government. This must be with our joint efforts between the Tangerang City Government and the community. We hope that the community can implement the programs that we have made from the proclim village to the waste bank," he said.
