Indonesian Citizen Student Dies In Japan, Police: Suspected Perpetrator Arrested
JAKARTA - Indonesian citizens (WNI), JOsi Putri Cahayani or JPC, were found dead in an apartment in Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture, Japan. The National Police said the suspected perpetrator had been arrested by the Japanese police.
"The Japanese police have succeeded in arresting the alleged perpetrator of the murder of the victim JPC," said Head of the Hubinter Division Inspector General Krishna Murti when confirmed, Friday, August 25.
Based on the results of coordination with the Japanese police, the alleged perpetrator was arrested at a station in the Tokyo area, Thursday, August 24 at around 13.25 local time.
"It has not been officially confirmed that the person concerned is the perpetrator of the murder," he said.
Krishna said that the Japanese police are still investigating the alleged perpetrator to confirm his involvement.

"Regulation in Japan requires the Japanese Police to examine stage by step, currently the alleged perpetrator is still suspected of neglecting the body," Krishna said.
Josi Putri Cahayani or JPC was found dead in an apartment in Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture, Japan, August 22.
The cause of Josi's death is not certain. However, the results of the temporary investigation did not have any physical injuries on his body.
