Jokowi On PPHN: We Must Have A Big And Technical Strategy
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said Indonesia needed a large and technical strategy as a guide whose form could be like the Principles of State Policy (PPHN).
"We really have to have a big strategy and technical strategy, it could be as often conveyed by the Chairman of the MPR regarding PPHN, to achieve our vision," said the President in his remarks while attending the Commemoration of Constitutional Day and the 78th Anniversary of the MPR RI, at the MPR/DPR/DPD RI Building in Jakarta, Friday, August 18, confiscated by Antara.
Jokowi stated that the nation's great vision must have clear benchmarks. Therefore, a guide is needed.
However, he emphasized that the guidelines or rules made should not be rigid, because the world is moving so fast, challenges and opportunities have also changed very rapidly.
"Every day, every hour it can change so that flexibility becomes very important. Don't overdo the rules, don't make too many traps ourselves, so we can't move. Give freedom to the executive to be agile in the face of change and uncertainty, which of course must be accompanied by effective supervision," he said.
Jokowi emphasized that the rules must provide space for flexibility so that the Indonesian people can move quickly in taking advantage of opportunities to win competition and competition, with other countries.
"Because in the current era of competition to be able to win, we must be able to be better than competitors from other countries. We can't just look at ourselves, we can't. Or feel, if we see ourselves that we feel enough, feel good, this is dangerous, we must be able to right lyrics and left lyrics," he said.
