JAKARTA - The obscene act carried out by a grandfather with the initials U (72) against the victim was carried out when AA (7) came home from school and was still wearing a red and white SD uniform.

According to police information, U's grandfather molested the victim in various ways. And it was stated that the perpetrator had done it twice with the different victims.

East Jakarta Deputy Chief of Police AKBP Fanani said, if there were other victims of the same perpetrator, they were expected to report immediately.

"The suspect has committed sexual immorality twice. The other victims are expected to dare to speak up (talk-ed) and make a police report," AKBP Fanani told reporters, Monday, August 14.

Meanwhile, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the East Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Dhimas, added that parents should be more vigilant when entrusting their children to their own families and neighbors and others.

"You have to supervise where your child goes. We are no longer talking about age disparities, at all ages there is the potential to do so. So you have to be vigilant. This case was revealed because it went viral from CCTV footage," he said.

AKBP Dhimas hopes that the existence of CCTV will be reproduced by more schools and local governments.

"We hope that the regional government will install more CCTV at crucial points that are not monitored, not passed by many people," he said.

CCTV installation must also be followed by a number of levels ranging from the sub-district to the local RT/RW environment.

"There must be CCTV installed where children often interact, such as in parks and RPTRA. At least from the sub-district, Kelurahan, even to the RT RW level, CCTV must be installed, so there are people being monitored. Because the police are not in every place, that's one of the preventions," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a grandfather with the initials U (72) who sexually abused an elementary school student could only surrender when dealing with members of the East Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim.

The grandfather from Tasikmalaya, West Java, had the heart to molest a underage girl with the initials AA (7) because his desire was peaking.

The suspect carried out his depraved act on Jalan Cipinang Muara 3, RT 11 / 06, Cipinang Muara Village, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta on Friday, August 11.

The act of obscenity was revealed after CCTV footage of the incident went viral on social media. Then the CCTV footage was investigated by the East Jakarta Metro Police PPA Unit.
