JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that one of the fugitives, Kirana Kotama, had a alias. He is said to have used the name Thay Ming.

This alias name was conveyed by the KPK in a press conference entitled 'The Performance of the Corruption Eradication Commission in Semester I Year 2023', Monday, August 14

Initially, KPK Deputy Chair Alexander Marwata said there were three suspects in the corruption case who were still being searched.

"The first concerns Korana Kotama alias Thay Ming," Alexander said at a press conference at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

Previously reported, the KPK admitted that it was difficult to catch Kirana Kotama. The reason is, he has become a permanent resident in a country.

Kirana is a suspect in a bribery corruption case filing for a revision of the forest function in Riau in 2014. The search for her began after being on the run in 2017.

"Based on the information we received (Kiana Kotama, ed) there is a country on another continent. He has what he calls permanent resident," Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur told reporters, Saturday, August 12.

Asep did not want to talk much about the country where Kirana Kotama lives. However, this condition makes it more difficult for the KPK to bring Kirana to Indonesia to account for her actions in court.

Because, he received protection from the country where he lived. In addition, there are jurisdictions that must be obeyed.
