Gibran Affirms the Perpendance of PDIP Instructions on the 2024 Presidential Election

SOLO - The Mayor of Surakarta, Central Java, Gibran Rakabuming Raka made sure to follow the PDI Perjuangan directives regarding the 2024 Presidential Election.

"Once again we are still upright (PDIP, red)," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, August 10.

Regarding the agenda for the meeting between Prabowo Subianto and Bolone Mase volunteers on Wednesday (9/8) evening, Gibran said he did not know. At the meeting, the volunteers asked Prabowo to make Gibran the running mate for the 2024 presidential election.

"I don't know about last night's event. Basically, last night's event was an initiative of volunteers, I don't understand (I don't know)," he said.

Gibran again said he was not old enough to run for the 2024 presidential election.

When asked about the existence of a "judicial review" related to the Election Law to the Constitutional Court (MK) so that the age limit for presidential and vice presidential candidates was changed, Gibran admitted that he followed the party's agreement.

"Just stay like this. The PDI has taken its stance yesterday, I just followed the party's directions," he said.

Meanwhile, while giving a speech on National Veterans Day this morning (Thursday) at UNS, Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto said that young leaders deserve to be reckoned with

Related to this, Gibran said the young leader in question could be anyone.

"He could just be talking about Emil Dardak, Mas Ibas, Mas Agus who are younger, more accomplished, more experienced," he said.
