Prabowo Asked Not To Choose The Wrong Candidate For Vice President, Must Be A Vote Actor
JAKARTA - Secretary General of the Crescent Star Party (PBB) Afriansyah Noor assessed that the figure of the prospective vice presidential candidate (cawapres) accompanying the General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party Prabowo Subianto did not have to come from nationalists or religious groups, as long as he was able to contribute to the vote acquisition in the 2024 presidential election.
"Not really (must be nationalist-agamist), what is clear is how this vice presidential candidate can make a good contribution so that he can really support his presidential candidate. So make a good vote contribution too," Afriansyah said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 2.
In fact, he said, it is also not necessary to consider the format of presidential and vice-presidential candidates from Java and outside Java, and it is possible that the vice-presidential figure will come from groups of young or millennials.
"Not really, the important thing is how he has a good track record and good credibility," he said.
Afriansyah reminded Prabowo Subianto to be careful in determining the future vice presidential candidate in order to win in the upcoming presidential election.
"This vice presidential candidate is the repeater or also provides support for victory, so don't make the wrong choice of cawapres," he said.
Afriansyah did not deny that his party also offered the name of UN General Chair Yusril Ihza Mahendra to accompany Prabowo Subianto as a vice presidential candidate.
He explained that the United Nations did not immediately impose support for Prabowo Subianto, but after several meetings to equalize vision and mission.
"Yesterday's PBB was clearly in the declaration of carrying out, offering the name Prof. Yusril to become a candidate for vice president paired with Pak Prabowo, but it was all returned to Pak Prabowo," he said.
Afriansyah explained that the Gelora Party and other political parties in parliament will also soon follow the United Nations to carry Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 presidential election.
"God willing, the Gelora Party will also provide information to declare, then several parties in Senayan will also immediately join to provide support to Mr. Prabowo," he said..
