Margot Robbie, Leading Actor In Barbie Film, Creates A Crypto Community Shock With Comments On Bitcoin

Australian actor Margot Robbie, who is the main role in the new Barbie film, has caused a stir among the crypto community. He stated that talking about Bitcoin BTC reflects a similar nature to Barbie's best friend, Ken.

In the past 24 hours, the crypto community on social media platform X (Twitter), including Michael Saylor of MicroStrategy and social media influencer Layahwahpern, responded widely to Robbie's statement about Bitcoin in an interview with Fandango on June 22.

Robbie revealed that every time she heard her husband, Tom Ackerley, and television producer David Heyman, discussing Bitcoin on set, it reminded her of Ken's properties, the fictional companion character in Barbie played by Ryan Gosling.

"When David and Tom started talking about Bitcoin or something, Gretta and I would say, you guys are like Kens!" he said.

Saylor stated that Bitcoin actually has "Big Ken Energy," and several other prominent figures in the crypto industry also expressed their opinion on Robbie's comments.

Crypto influencer Lea Thompson, better known as Girl Gone Crypto by her 225,000 followers on Twitter, stated that she was "very bullish" after hearing Robbie talk about Bitcoin.

Meanwhile, Layahmorepern interpreted Robbie's statement in a different way, implying that she considered it an insult to the man who talked about Bitcoin.

On July 30, Hawaiipern explained to his 621,400 followers on Twitter that Robbie implies that the men who are enthusiastic about Bitcoin are "weak and unfortunate."

However, Mark cap, the main psychologist at the Awake Therapy, proposes that having the energy like Ken can be a sign of someone who is not selfish and can adapt to various situations.

horta menyatakan dalam laporan Forbes pada 13 Juli bahwa karakter Ken menghentang stereotip gender tradisional.

"In a Barbie-centered universe, Ken only has a supporting role to play, and he does it with pleasure," saidten. "Barbie is the main one, and we see Ken's male counterpart only playing a unidimensional and pure role as an aesthetic role often limited by women in the past, with mild and parody styles."

Robbie stated in the interview that it was difficult to define what makes a person Ken or what radiates Ken's energy, because it is subjective.

"This is not something you can define; this is just something you can feel," said Robbie.

With a sense of optimism, Steven Lubka, managing director at Swan Bitcoin, sees Robbie's comments as positive for the crypto community. Lubka told his 20,200 followers on Twitter on July 29 that "we're back."

Robbie's comments about Bitcoin are short and neutral, coming when legal action is still taking place against celebrities who have recently promoted cryptocurrencies.

Recently, NBA Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler attempted to be removed from a $1 billion class action lawsuit accusing him of promoting unregistered securities by crypto exchange Binance.

In a filing on July 24, Butler's lawyers argued that the tweets he displayed did not promote the securities mentioned, and therefore could not help promote them.

Binance CEO Changpeng "CZ" Zhao, as well as YouTubers Ben Armstrong (BitBoy Crypto) and Graham Stephan, also challenged similar accusations in the same lawsuit.
