The 76th Independence Day Of The Republic Of Indonesia Will Be Implemented At IKN
The Australian Capital Authority (OIKN) stated that the celebration of the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17, 2024, in the State Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago, East Kalimantan, became the starting point for the gradual transfer of the nation's capital from DKI Jakarta to Nusantara.
"We hope and work hard that next year's target, namely the Indonesian Independence Ceremony on August 17, 2024, will take place at IKN Nusantara led by the President of the Republic of Indonesia. That's where a point begins the gradual transfer of the nation's capital from Jakarta to IKN Nusantara," said Deputy for Funding and Investment at OIKN Agung Wicaksono, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, July 30.
Agung said the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) said the progress of the IKN Nusantara development reached 36 percent and went according to plan.
In addition, the construction of the Presidential Palace in IKN which reached 23 percent, the construction of the palace also went according to plan.
Previously, PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said that in front of the Presidential Palace area at IKN Nusantara there was a plaza and a ceremonial field.
Basuki hopes that the field or where the ceremony can be completed by the end of December this year. Meanwhile, the State Palace and the Presidential Office are targeted to be completed in July 2024.
