West Papua DPRD Secretary Corruption Suspect Detained By Prosecutor
MANOKWARI - The West Papua High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) has detained the Secretary of the West Papua DPRD with the initials FKM.
Assistant for Special Crimes (Aspidsus) West Papua Prosecutor's Office Abu Hasbullah said the examination of FKM was carried out from 11.00 to 22.00 WIT.
Furthermore, FKM was named a suspect in the alleged project corruption case sourced in the revised APBD in 2021.
"We have raised his status as a suspect in alleged corruption," said Aspidsusdi Manokwari as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, July 27.
FKM is suspected of being involved in the construction of seven physical project packages with the mode of borrowing flags or companies belonging to third parties.
FKM then commissioned third parties who had lent the company's flag for seven projects.
"The project sourced from the revised APBD in 2021 will begin to be carried out in 2022," he explained.

State losses as a result of FKM's actions are estimated at IDR 500 million.
After the determination of the suspect, FKM was detained for 20 days as a detainee entrusted by the prosecutor's office to the Class IIB Manokwari Correctional Institution (Lapas).
"Health checks are still being carried out by the medical team from the West Papua Health Office," said Hasbullah.
