Ministry Of Finance Celebrates 115 Years Of Indonesian Auction
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) today symbolically celebrates the 115th anniversary of the auction in Indonesia. The Director General of State Assets of the Ministry of Finance Rionald Silaban said that the auction has a long history in the country.
This was marked by the stipulation of the Vendu Reglement as the basis for the auction in Indonesia since February 28, 1908 and has been in effect since April 1, 1908.
"On his long journey, the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) of the Ministry of Finance always strives to optimize the function of conducting the auction. The auction activities have adapted according to the development of time and technology," he said on Tuesday, July 18.
According to Rionald, one of the efforts to optimize the auction function is to carry out the auction digitally.
"The transformation of the digitalization of the auction is an effort to realize an easy, objective, and safe auction used by all people," he said.

"In 2018, the Auction Application was developed and changed its name to the Indonesian Auction Portal," he said.
Rionald himself hopes that this peak event of 115 Years of Indonesian Auction can be a means of education, communication, and socialization of auctions to the public.
"We want this celebration to be a means of meeting sellers and buyers, and meeting facilities for various communities so that they can further promote and expand the auction market," he concluded.
