Apple Launches The Latest Tap To Pay On IPhone Feature For Ease Of Contactless Payments
JAKARTA - Since its launch in 2014, Apple Pay has quickly become a favorite feature among iPhone users. Now, Apple has taken further steps with a new feature called "Tap to Pay on iPhone".
This feature allows you to easily send money to business by just tapping on your iPhone.
"This new capability will empower millions of traders, from small businesses to big retailers, to use their iPhones smoothly and safely accept payments for Apple Pay, credit cards and contactless debits, as well as other digital wallets using only their iPhones and iOS applications supported by partners - without the need for additional payment hardware or terminals," said the iPhone.
Here's how you can try Tap to Pay on your own iPhone. Tap to Pay on iPhone was first launched in the United States last year, but now it's available in the UK.
"We've seen Tap to Pay on iPhone change the payment experience for so many types of businesses, and we're excited to be able to support traders across the UK by offering easy, safe, and private ways to accept contactless payments using power, security, and iPhone comfort, without the need for additional hardware," Jennifer Bailey, vice president of Apple Pay and Apple Wallet.

With this feature, businesses can open access to accept contactless payments via the supported iOS app. This feature is available on the iPhone Xs or later.
At the time of payment, sellers simply ask customers to tap on their iPhone or Apple Watch to pay, and payments will be made safely using NFC technology. The best of all, no additional hardware is needed.
Apple guarantees that this new feature is safe and your data will be protected. "Privacy is fundamental in the design and development of all Apple payment features," Apple explained.
"With Tap to Pay on iPhone, customer payment data is protected with the same technology that makes Apple Pay private and secure. All transactions made using Tap to Pay on iPhone are encrypted and processed using Secure Elements, and just like with Apple Pay, Apple doesn't know what to buy or who to buy it," said APPLE.
