The Presence Of Competent Industrial Human Resources To Improve Regional Economy
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) said that the existence of competent industrial human resources (HR) will be able to encourage economic improvement in the local area.
Head of the Industrial Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDMI) of the Ministry of Industry Masrokhan said, one example is West Sumatra, which experienced economic growth reaching 4.36 percent or higher than in 2021 which grew by 3.29 percent.
"Industrial performance is also supported by competent human resources. Therefore, we are collaborating with various parties, including the industrial sector to make this happen," Masrokhan said in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 11.
The Ministry of Industry's vocational education unit located in Padang is also ready to produce competent industrial human resources (HR) by continuing to strive to improve the quality and quantity of education work units and vocational training.
At the high school level, SMK-SMAK Padang focuses on scoring reliable human resources in the chemical sector and SMK-SMTI Padang has a concentration in industrial chemistry and industrial automation techniques.

For the level of tertiary institutions, the AtI Padang Polytechnic has a concentration in the agro and chemical industries. "Meanwhile, the Padang Industrial Education and Training Center (BDI) provides training in the fields of textiles, fashion, to food and beverage production," he said.
Masrokhan also suggested that every education unit and BDI in Padang should improve quality and make achievements.
"I hope that the Ministry of Industry's education and training units will advance with the motto One Vocal Unit, One Great Achievement. This means that each unit of education and vocational training has at least one big achievement that can be proud of and feel the benefits for the community," he added.
