LP3HI: KPK Data Leakage Cases Are Not Difficult, Because The Metro Jaya Police Chief Has Been On Duty At The KPK
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Law Enforcement Supervisory and Guard Institute (LP3HI) expects Polda Metro Jaya to determine a suspect in the alleged data leak of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in a case at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) before the end of September 2023. "Given the busyness of investigators handling other cases, I still give investigators time to immediately identify suspects before the end of September 2023," said Deputy Chairperson of LP3HI Kurniawan Adi Nugroho, quoting Antara, Sunday, July 9. Kurniawan explained the reason for giving time until the end of September 2023 because in the following month it would be enlivened with general election preparations (elections). "Because entering October 2023, we will be busy with the election event. If until September 2023 there is no clarity, I will file a pretrial lawsuit," he said. Kurniawan also said that this case was not difficult to resolve by the Metro Jaya Police Chief because previously Inspector General Pol Karyoto was on duty at the KPK. "This case is actually not difficult to solve, especially since the previous Metro Police Chief also served at the KPK so that he knows very well who can access case investigation documents. It remains whether or not to resolve this case," he said. Kurniawan is still confident and believes that Polda Metro Jaya investigators will work professionally in handling this case.

Polda Metro Jaya continues the case of alleged leakage of KPK data in the case at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources by raising it to the investigation stage because elements of criminal events were found in the case.
