Tracing Allegations Of Corruption In Kapuas, KPK Checks Indonesia's Poltracking Financial Manager
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is examining the Finance Manager of PT. Poltracking Indonesia Anggraini Setio Ayuningtias regarding the alleged flow of money from the alleged corruption case of the inactive Kapuas Regent Ben Brahim S. Bahat (BSSB).
"The witness was present and his knowledge was investigated, including the alleged payment of electability surveys to raise the prestige of BBSB suspects in the context of advancing for the Central Kalimantan gubernatorial election," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 4, as reported by Antara.
In addition, the KPK also examined several other witnesses, namely Ben Bahat's two children, Dealdo Dwirendragraha Bahat and Bella Brittani Bahat, and Yanuar Yassin Anwar, Esty Noverina Karunani and Sartono. The witnesses were examined regarding the assets belonging to the BSSB suspect.
For information, on Tuesday, March 28, the KPK detained and named Ben Brahim S. Bahat and his wife as well as DPR Member Ary Egahni (AE) as suspects in the alleged corruption case worth Rp. 8.7 billion.
The mode of alleged corruption is the budget cuts under the guise of fictitious debt accompanied by the receipt of bribes within the Kapuas Regency Government, Central Kalimantan.
In addition, Ben Brahim, who served as Regent of Kapuas Regency for two terms, namely 2013-2018 and 2018-2023, with his position allegedly receiving facilities and a sum of money from various Regional Apparatus Work Units (SKPD) of the Kapuas Regency Government, including from several private parties.
Meanwhile, Ary Egahni as the wife of the regent and member of the Indonesian House of Representatives, is also suspected of actively participating in the government process, including by ordering several SKPD heads to fulfill their personal needs in the form of giving money and luxury goods.
The source of the money received by Ben Bahat and Ary came from various official budget posts for the Kapuas Regency Government SKPD.

Ben Bahat's facilities and a sum of money were used, among others, for operational costs when participating in the Kapuas Regional Election, Central Kalimantan Regional Head Election, and Ary's participation in the 2019 Legislative Election.
Regarding the granting of permits for plantation locations in Kapuas Regency, Ben Bahat is suspected of receiving a sum of money from the private sector.
Ben Bahat also asked several private parties to prepare a number of masses when participating in the Kapuas Regional Election, Central Kalimantan Regional Head Election, and 2019 Legislative Election for AE who ran as a candidate for DPR RI member.
Ben and Ary are suspected of violating Article 12 letter f and Article 11 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
