The Attorney General's Office Calls Menpora Transparan Gives Answer When Examined By BTS Kominfo Corruption Cases
JAKARTA - The Director of Investigation of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the Kuntadi Attorney General's Office (AGO) said that the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Bimo Nandito Ariotedjo gave a transparent answer when examined by the investigative team.
"We checked the person concerned from 13.00 WIB to 15.00 WIB with 24 questions. All questions were answered properly and transparently," Kuntadi said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 3.
Kuntadi explained that the Attorney General's Office Jampidsus Investigative Team summoned Dito to find a bright spot regarding the alleged flow of funds to the person concerned regarding the alleged corruption case of the "base transceiver station" (BTS).
"In order to find a bright spot, related to information, as colleagues know, there are rumors about a flow of funds circulating," said Kuntadi.
Kuntadi said that if the issue of the flow of funds circulating was true, it would not be included in the "tempus" of BTS corruption.
"But what is clear is that the incident, if it is true later, it is beyond the 'temulus' of the BTS criminal incident. So please differentiate it," he said.
Kuntadi explained that the corruption case in the provision of BTS infrastructure and supporting infrastructure Packages 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 BAKTI of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology for 2020-2022 had been "tempus".
"Furthermore, it is informed in order to handle or control investigations into efforts to collect and distribute a sum of money so that it is clear from this that this incident has nothing to do with criminal acts involving the BTS Paket Project 1 to 5," he said.
Meanwhile, Dito said he had clarified to the investigative team regarding the allegations against him.

"This is related to the accusation that I received Rp27 billion because I have already conveyed what I know and what I experienced. This is for more detailed material, the authorities explain," he said.
Dito said he had a moral burden to straighten out the accusation because he held the mandate as a minister, had responsibility to the public and family.
"I was given the mandate by Mr. President Jokowi as minister and I have a family where I have to straighten this out and account for public trust so far," said Dito.
