Menpora Please Examination At The AGO Clean His Name
JAKARTA - Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Bimo Nandito Ariotedjo hopes that his presence in the examination at the Attorney General's Office (AGO) can clear his name.
"I hope that this official process can later be processed for official follow-up, where this can return to clear my name and also the trust that has been given, both from Mr. President Jokowi and the public," said Dito after the examination at the AGO, reported by ANTARA, Monday, July 3.
Dito was questioned about the alleged flow of funds directed at him regarding the alleged corruption of the "base transceiver station" (BTS). He also admitted that he had clarified to investigators about the allegations.
"This is related to the accusation that I received Rp27 billion because I have already conveyed what I know and what I experienced. This is for more detailed material, the authorities explain," he said.
He admitted that he had originally wanted to clarify immediately so that the issues in circulation would not drag on. However, explained Dito, he was on a working visit to Berlin, Germany and was hindered by leave with Eid al-Adha 1444 H when the issue emerged to the public.
"Today I came and thank God the tit for tat, the Prosecutor's Office also summoned me as a witness and yesterday when this case emerged we happened to be working in Berlin for the Special Olympics and after we returned, it was immediately a very long national leave date," he said.
In addition, Dito also said that he had a moral burden to straighten out the allegations.
