Secretary General Of MUI Calls Differences In Eid Al-Adha A Chance To Price Differences
JAKARTA - Secretary General of the Indonesian Ulema Council (Sekum MUI), Amirsyah Tambunan, said that the time difference between Eid al-Adha on June 28 and June 29 was an opportunity to respect each other's differences.
Amirsyah said that this Eid al-Adha should be interpreted as part of the equal momentum for the nation and state that is currently holding Eid al-Adha on June 28 and June 29.
"This Eid momentum we interpret by mutual respect and respect for differences. If there is no difference, the question will not arise how to respond to (differences)," said Amirsyah, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, June 28.
He explained, through the differences in this holiday, an affirmation emerged to respect and respect each other. The goal for us together to learn is wisdom in two differences.
"One of them is because it is not the same Eid al-Adha, so the public can see, this is the choice of Eid on June 28, this is Eid al-Adha on June 29," he explained.
In addition, he also hopes that this Eid momentum is for our brothers and sisters who worship the hajj so that they always give birth to many good takbir, meaning kindness with manners, kindness that is social in nature, caring for each other, helping each other.
Regarding the slaughter of the qurban which will be held tomorrow (29/6), he suggested that it be carried out in slaughterhouses (RPH).
"This slaughter is important, and now the slaughter technology is very sophisticated. I also suggest slaughtering the sacrifice at the RPH. Why, because in the slaughterhouse the animal can be more hygienic, more orderly," he said.
He continued that there was nothing wrong if it was done in the mosque environment, but with a note of the importance of maintaining cleanliness and peace so as not to disturb the surrounding environment.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Chairperson of the Mosque Welfare Council (DKM), as well as the Daily Chair of the Al Isra Mosque, Rifki Maulana, estimated that the number of Eid prayer congregations present at the Al Isra Grand Mosque was around 3,500 worshipers, starting from the interior of the mosque to the courtyard.
"Approximately the same number as last year's Eid prayer celebrations. Most of the congregation came from Grogol Petamburan District, Kebon Jeruk District, and Palmerah District," he explained.
Until now, his party has received twelve sacrificial animals and eight goats.
This number, he said, could increase until the night of the takbiran.
"In terms of the number of Alhamdulillah, there has been an increase. Last year we only had eleven cows and approximately ten goats," he said.

He said that the difference in Eid should not then be used as an excuse for us to divide, but to make it our reason to unite.
"However, everything is different in Islam, especially if the problems of ijtihad are like this. That's why it must be interpreted in unity," he said.
