Southeast Sulawesi Police Arrest TIP Perpetrators, 2 Victims Sold To Nostrils And Paid Rp100 Thousand
The Criminal Investigation Unit (Dit Reskrimum) of the Regional Police (Polda) of Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) arrested a perpetrator of trafficking in persons (TPPO) with the mode of commercial sex workers (PSK). Head of the Criminal Action Task Force for Trafficking at the Dit Reskrimum Polda Sultra Kompol Syahrir Hanafi said that the perpetrator named M. Aras Rahim (20) was arrested at a hotel on Jalan Mada, Koruma Village, Mandonga Village, Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi. "Arrested last Wednesday night at a hotel in Kendari City," said Syahrir Hanafi, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday 22 June. He revealed that the arrest was based on information from the public who reported that at the scene of the case (TKP) there was a criminal act of trafficking of persons (TPPO). "Based on that information, the Gakkum TPPO Task Force Team Dit Reskrimum Polda Sultra found a suspect named M. Aras Rahim," he said. Syahrir said that M. Aras was arrested for selling his victim with the initials T (19) and I (20) a masher through the Michat application for Rp500 thousand per person. He said that after selling his victim to a masher, the perpetrator then got a profit of Rp. 100,000 from his victims. "The sale, the victim reaped a profit of Rp. 100,000 from the victims," he said. He added that from the arrest, his party confiscated a number of evidence in the form of cellphones, cash, and a means of contraception. To account for his actions, M. Aras Rahim and evidence were directly led to the Southeast Sulawra Police Headquarters for further investigation.
