DPRD Suspects DKI Provincial Government Deliberately Hides Ancol Mangkrak Project Problems
JAKARTA - Member of Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Pandapotan Sinaga, admitted that he suspected that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government had been hiding cases of stalled projects in the Ancol tourist area.
This is because a number of stalled development projects between PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol and newly revealed developers have occurred several years ago.
Based on a report from the Director of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Winarto in today's meeting, there were four problems with stalled projects, ranging from cooperation in apartment construction with Crown, hotels with Marriot Group, development of Sea World with PT Sea World Indonesia, and construction of BTO Music Stadium at ABC Mall with PT Paramitha Bangun Cipta Sarana.
Meanwhile, in previous work meetings, the DKI or Ancol Regional Owned Enterprise Development Agency (BP BUMD) never reported the problem.
This was revealed by Pandapotan in a working meeting with the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government and the directors of Ancol.
"Ancol is a public company. To us, members of the council as partners, why is it not reported like this? It seems that BP BUMD has also added this to us at Commission B," said Pandapotan at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Thursday, June 21.
Similarly, member of Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Hasbiallah Ilyas, also views BP BUMD as the guilty party for the neglect of stalled projects in Ancol.
VOIR éGALEMENT:
This is because the protracted case of the project, according to Hasbi, could have an impact on financial losses for Ancol and even other BUMDs such as Bank DKI, which previously distributed capital loans to Ancol for post-pandemic business recovery.
"Perhaps, the fatal error is in BP BUMD actually. BP BUMD allows everything that happened in Ancol. This Ancol, if calculated with a large amount of land owned, is the richest. Ancol is a strategic place of business but Ancol's progress to this day has burdened Bank DKI," said Hasbi.
Regarding this problem, members of Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD proposed the formation of a special committee (special committee) to dismantle the problem of stalled projects in Ancol to recommendations for resolving the problem.
In Government Regulation Number 12 of 2018, the special committee was formed in a plenary meeting at the suggestion of DPRD members. Most of the Special Committee members were formed on 25 people, consisting of members of the related commission proposed by each faction.
