Many Supporters Claims, PDIP Doesn't Question Jokowi Volunteers Support Prabowo's Presidential Candidate
JAKARTA - Secretary General (Secretary General) of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto said that his party had no problem with the existence of Pro Jokowi (Projo) volunteers in South Sulawesi who declared to support Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election. "No, papa (Projo in South Sulawesi declared Prabowo as a presidential candidate), there are also quite a lot of volunteers who support Pak Ganjar Pranowo," Hasto told reporters after attending the Kick Off Workshop of the 2024 Election Covering at the Press Council Hall, quoted by ANTARA, Monday 19 June. Furthermore, he conveyed that the structure of volunteer institutions is not like a political party so that their support is an expression of aspiration, not an ideology. "Yes, if volunteers are not like political parties. Their names are volunteers, they then convey expressions because this is not an organized expression in an ideology, one platform so it is relatively more fluid," said Hasto. Previously, Projo Sulawesi Selatan in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Sunday (18/6) declared support for Prabowo to run as a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election. The support was conveyed by the Chairman of Projo Sulsel Herwin Niniala during the Projo Regional Conference (Konferda) Projo in Makassar City. Based on the schedule that has been set by the General Election Commission (KPU) RI, registration of prospective presidential and vice president candidates is scheduled to start on October 19 to November 25, 2023.
