COVID-19 Update As Of June 17: There Are Still 9,925 Active Cases
JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Handling Task Force released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 10,881 specimens were examined with the results of 114 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,811,057 people and active cases have dropped by 23 to 9,925 cases," said COVID-19 Task Force data, Saturday, June 17.
Today's recovered cases increased by 136 people, bringing the total to 6,639,292 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 1 case and a total of 161,840 people.
The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 30 cases and a total of 1,567,949 cases. Followed by West Java 19 new cases with a total of 1,251,649 cases. East Java 11 new cases and a total of 648,206 cases. Banten 9 new cases and a total of 372,184 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 53 recovered cases. Followed by DI Yogyakarta with an additional 20 recovered cases, Riau with an additional 17 recovered cases, and West Java with an additional 8 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 117,211,623.
"Positive results per number of people examined or this week's positivity rate of 1.51 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 766 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 203,856,423 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 174,912,174 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 68,966,658 and the fourth dose was 3,267,231. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
