Weapons Contact In Mugi, Cenderawasih Military Commander Admits 9 Firearms Belonging To The TNI Are Missing
Panglima Kodam XVII Cenderawasih Maj. Gen. Muhammad Saleh Mustafa admitted that when the Mugi incident occurred, nine TNI-AD organic weapons were missing.
Indeed, the nine rifles were missing (not five pieces) and five soldiers were killed in the incident that occurred on April 15.
"The firearms that are missing are TNI-AD organic weapons," said Pangdam XVII Cenderawasih after leading the handover of official positions in the XVII Cenderawasih Military Command, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 9.
He said that currently various efforts were made so that the nine firearms could be handed back because otherwise it would be dangerous.
Various efforts have now been made so that the TNI-AD organic rifle can return.
Five soldiers who died in the incident were recorded, including one of whom previously fell into a ravine in the Mugi area, Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains.
When asked about the pilot search efforts carried out by the KKB led by Egianus Kogoya, the Cenderawasih Military Commander is currently prioritizing negotiations.
