Deicing Completes New Album Recording

Florida's Veteran of death metal, Deicide, has completed the process of recording their long-awaited new studio album.

On May 6 yesterday, Deicing shared a graph with the text "the new album is done," and included the following message: "The recording is complete, will test mixing, then mastering. The artwork is extraordinary and is in the final stage of the process, everything is ready to be done and is now in the hands of the record company. Now we are all waiting..."

While appearing in the latest episode of The Jasta Show, the video podcast hosted by Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta, Glen Benton spoke about Diecide's new studio album status.

"Well, we signed a new contract with one of the record companies out there. I don't think I'm free to say anything, who it is; [they] will announce it soon," explains Glen. "Yes, my friend, we have an album that is being worked on, but we are stuck doing everything this Legion [celebration of 30th anniversary], and that makes the recording delayed.

"So now the tour is over and we really... I'm in the process of writing the lyrics now.

Benton went on to say that Deicence's new album was written in 2021 before he and his bandmates agreed to start the tour celebrating their 30th anniversary of their second album, Legion.

But, he explained, "We are preparing to finalize this deal now and finalize it."
