Coal Transport Rail Line Ambles, PTBA Opens Voice
JAKARTA - The coal transport train line belonging to PT KAI collapsed at KM 206 between the Gilas - Sepancar Station crossing.
Responding to this disturbance, the management of PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) through the Corporate Secretary of PT Bukit Asam Tbk Apollonius Andwie said that the disturbance had been repaired by PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero).
"Currently, this line can gradually be passed by trains at limited speed," Apollonius told the media, Thursday, May 4.
He said the acceleration of the recovery of the South Sumatra - Lampung railway line was sought to be completed soon so that coal transportation returned to normal.
Apollonius also assured that the coal transportation of the Tanjung Enim - Kertapati (Palembang) railway line would continue to run normally.
Meanwhile, PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) has also sent official letters to customers regarding Force Majeure.

He added that PTBA is committed to achieving its sales target this year.
"PTBA also remains committed to fulfilling its sales target by 2023 by optimizing future transport capacity and selling at the mouth of the mine," concluded Apollonius.
